Lions and Tigers and Blogs Oh My!!

That is what starting this blog is like for me, battling the beast. I may not be the most computer savvy person, when it comes to designing a layout, figuring out what all of this new stuff means, I mean honestly, you need a class to start a blog. And I have been scared to start this, scared nobody will care to read what I write, and since it has truly been a dream of mine, if I fail, then what?? But alas, here I am, roughly four years after deciding it was time to do it, four years after saying it out loud for the first time that I wanted to do this, I have gotten over my fear, and taken the plunge.

So I took the plunge, and it is fearful, joyful, and it gives me a renewed passion for writing. But what does it take to do this, for me, it went a little like this:

Step 1: Meet with a friend who currently has a blog, and find out the W’s (who, what, when where) and that oh so important H…how.

Step 2: Start it…that’s where the lions and tigers come in.

Step 3: Create a domain…man, that was a tough one, but honestly it was my friends words I went back to, be your authentic you. YES!

Step 4: Figure this shit out (can I use bad language on here, I guess I will find out).

Step 5: Create a theme, design, organize, not my strengths in life. This is where you the reader comes in, any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Step 6: What are menus, how many should I have, oh forget it, go to step 7…

Step 7: Forget everything else, just do what I came to do, write.

So here I am, writing my first blog. Opening myself up to the world, there is no turning back now (I already paid my money, and I DO NOT waste money). I am committed now, in like Flynn. Hopefully it will be good enough to capture a few people’s attention.

So, stay tuned, as I continue to develop, add new content, and navigate my way through this. I will tell you how my life is one big playlist as there is always a song, and how songs can take me back to specific moments in my life. I am a Pilates instructor, and a yoga lover, and yes, I have pictures and stories to go along with both. I love to travel, the place I go back to the most being Jamaica, lots of good tips for that. I have moved by myself, more than once, lets chat. Injuries, man, I have had some doozies, though nothing too serious, but all very interesting, how I have survived that. My recent Gallbladder removal, I have some great advice as I have learned so much through this process, can you say TMI. And so much more.

Give me a few posts before you give up on me, I promise to add content regularly, and to have fun while I am doing it. I want to thank you now for taking the time to read, and would love it if you decide to follow me. Hopefully we can learn and grow together on this journey.
